Can dry air lead to illness?

Especially in winter, you can notice how dry the air becomes in many production halls, offices and public buildings.

Relative humidity often falls below 30%. This is not only noticeable in the case of dry eyes or irritated airways – it also increases the risk of infections.

A study from RWTH Aachen University shows that when indoor humidity is between 40-60%, the fewest ailments and illnesses occur. If it falls below this level, irritation and infections increase measurably.

Humidity is not a comfort issue, but a crucial health factor. Investing here can reduce the rate of illness and at the same time significantly improve well-being.
